If you have made your way here you are probably, like us, a fan of knitting with a desire to find new and exciting yarns and great patterns.
We have researched the yarn industry in detail and feel that we have a great collection of yarns for you and will be adding to this continually, although we will not add products for the sake of it. Only once we are happy that the quality is right will we add it to our collection.
We also invite visitors to come and see us in person. We are based in Islington, North London so why not visit us, bring along your knitting, have a cup of tea with us and discuss your requirements in a friendly atmosphere and at your leisure! |

Who we are
The Knitting Shop was set up at the begining of 2010 by mother and daughter Susie and Mercedes Aspland. Susie has knitted since she was a little girl and has a large amount of experience in selecting yarns and adapting patterns. Mercedes has not been knitting quite as long but has a keen interest and one of her favourite things is to create new patterns and adapt existing ones to create unique garments.
One of the things that Susie and Merced both pride themselves on is the help offered by The Knitting Shop. If you have a pattern and you cannot find the yarn for it we will help you by recommending alternatives. We can also give you all sorts of tips on how much yarn you will need and explanation of patterns in a friendly way. If you prefer to order over the phone as well because you are not so confident on the internet then feel free to give us a call, we are always happy to help.
