This shawl or wrap was designed to show off all the attributes of fantasy yarns and make the most of every inch of them. It may be a glitzy or plain as you wish, the pattern is adaptable to many different yarn weights.
Special techniques include yarn over needles as beginning of a row, short rows with wrapped stitches, extended three needle bind off. Little finishing required.
Although the shawl appears to be predominantly mohair, the fantasy yarns generally weigh more per meter of their length. Through clever pattern design, the shawl can be sized to use the available yarn, avoiding the frustration of running out of yarn before running out of shawl!
In mohair yarn use 6mm needles.
Either long straight needles or a 80cm circular can be used.
