Catherine Earnshaw Softest Italian Merino is of such amazing quality you just have to try it. Made from 100% merino wool it is a DK weight making it versatile and worth trying as an alternative for your regular merino yarn.
This merino is a genuine Extra Fine Merino yarn which is why you get 140m to the ball. Many merinos on the market are a much lower grade of merino which is why you usually get about 110m to 50g for the same thickness. What this means for you is that the Catherine Earnshaw merino yarn will be softer and higher quality than merino yarn from many leading UK brands. Many of these compnaies will treat their merino to make it feel softer however this is not the natural feel of the yarn that the true quality will show over time. We cannot recommend this yarn more highly and are sure you will love it too.

This is a lovely wool; soft to work and lovely colours - what a shame it is being discontinued!
