Bought this to make an Aran sweater and I am very satisfied. Perfect stitch definition, not too soft (which is what I was going for - it's not itchy either). And you cannot beat the price and 500gm balls (less joining in!).

I bought this yarn without ever having seen it in the flesh and it is not a mistake I will make again. It's a dirty colour and truly scratchy, also feels slightly unwashed (greasy). It knits to the gauge specified but is very thick for it and could do with a stitch or two less in my opinion. All in all not something I would buy again or recommend, this lot will either be felted for slipper soles or chucked!

Beautiful wool and love the colour. The quality is reminiscent of the original oiled Aran wool I had to get from Ireland in the 60s.
